Mark D. Phipps, D.D.S.

Dr. Mark Phipps earned his Bachelor of Science degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Following that he studied at The University of The Pacific Dental School in San Francisco, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is a Fellow with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Upon completing dental school he served the dental needs of the Indian Health Service in Susanville, California for three years. He has recently been a guest lecturer at the University of Nevada Dental School.

Dr. Phipps grew up in Sacramento and has been providing dental care locally since 1984.

He enjoys practicing dentistry as well as participating in several dental study groups, the local dental society and lecturing. He is a member of the Sacramento District Dental Society and the California and American Dental Associations.

Dr. Phipps is an Eagle Scout and serves as the Gold Country District Eagle Advisor for Placer County and Advisory Board Member for Golden Empire Council, as well as Scoutmaster for Foresthill Troup 717.

The National Eagle Scout Association has recognized his accomplishments as Scoutmaster with the Outstanding Scoutmaster Award. The Golden Empire Council awarded Dr. Phipps with the Silver Beaver Award in recognition of his service to youth and the community.

Dr. Phipps is the proud father of 10 children and loving grandfather to 9. He is active in his local church and enthusiastically enjoys the outdoors, whitewater rafting with family and friends, hiking, cycling, and gardening. In 2013 he completed a 226 mile rafting trip down the Colorado River and through the Grand Canyon in which he was the guide.
